I started Twitter because my MySpace page is doing so well. I get a lot of questions asking, “Where I got my drive to do”? So I have put a little information together about myself…..also, it is VERY important to me that I stay anonymous. So the answer is no I have never served in the Armed Forces but I have family members who have and are still currently. I grew up in a Law Enforcement/Fire family and these groups and our military have always been my heroes. I think they are the back bone of this Great Country and too often these great warriors get a bad rap. I think these groups have a lot in common. One difference is that the Armed Forces do not have the same stipulations for their folks like the police and fire agencies have started to. I think it is really sad and I think the average person should think about these things more than they do. Things like; when a soldier or police officer realizes that they have killed an innocent person…. they can’t ever escape from that it is a part of them for the rest of their lives. Or the firefighter that gets to a baby death call and can’t revive the baby and he sees his child’s face on that baby. Or the police officer that is killed by a drunk driver while writing a ticket and during the trial the killer’s family can cry and say whatever they want and the children and spouse of the officer are not even allowed to shed one tear for fear of a mistrial. These are just a few examples of the thousands that these warriors have to live with on a daily basis for their entire lives. I think just letting these groups know you care and appreciate their service and sacrifice goes along way. So my drive....the love I have for this Great Country and the people sacrificing themselves for that greatness. It is very rewarding to me walking up to one of our American Warriors or their families and saying "thank you for your service" or when you see a Vet proudly wearing his hat and when you thank them, they light up just a little bit for that one moment....that is why I do what I do.
