37. The Bondage of Pacifism - Retired Grunt's MySpace Blog | By Avalanche and Bullhorn!

I thought this was a worth posting and wanted to share it with others that might have questions about if they as soldiers are serving God. This is something to think about. “The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war.”

The comment made:

Quote
"Yes, for Israel. The New Covenant, however, does not allow Christians to use force."

My response:

Do you honestly feel that the Ministers of God that the Lord is to use on earth are to be non-Christians? That the men and women who God uses to....

// for he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.// Romans 13:4 NKJV

... are limited to only those who DON'T have a relationship with God?

Imagine how "righteous" the police forces and military forces, the very governments of the world would be if they all had a relationship in Jesus! They'd blaze their way through all the criminals and enemy forces because they'd all be motivated in the knowledge that they are serving God and also be backed by Him... Joshua 1:9

Do you know how much the Lord protects on the battlefield? I've seen God's protection, I've experienced His protection. Since these stories never make public knowledge, just as most "miracles" of God don't make public knowledge, most people are under the assumption that the Holy Spirit isn't active any longer.

Anyway... as I asked, do you actually feel that the Lord does not allow faithful servants to serve in professions that will mean they must kill?

Sure, toss in all the scriptures that supports your theology but please include the scriptures in your Bible where we read about Soldiers who God uses and/or NEVER tells them to leave their job as a soldier.

Jesus' mission for those 3 years does not encompass all He is. His ministry in the flesh was to show us His love and informs us of the Way to Him and to His Father, through Him.

But to "know" Jesus is to read ALL the Bible. He is a Warrior as well and has killed (the flood, Sodom and Gomorrah, Pharaoh when the Red Sea closed upon him, as 3 examples), He has ordered man to kill (David, Joshua, Deborah, Gideon, to name a few), He accepts soldiers (Cornelius, the faithful Centurion, those soldiers that John the Baptist spoke to, to name a few)... do you assume that these men DIDN'T kill in the line of duty? Because the NT doesn't "detail" their profession and what they did as a soldier, a Christian today can't do the same as they did?

Blindness is what the enemy uses to cause men and women to not lift a finger. The men and women who our Lord uses and refers to as: Ministers of God in Romans 13:4... I can see why so many Christians today DON'T feel those positions are for God... it's because the enemy has populated those positions with non-Christians.

It is an honorable path to follow, to be a servant of God as a soldier, as a government official, and a policeman/women, as an emergency service worker etc! If it wasn't, then God would not call them HIS MINISTERS!

Yet, due to the blindness, which is called pacifism... that satan has over so many Christians, he's effectively taken them off a path that may actually be the will of God for them. Where God WOULD populate those positions with servants, faithful to HIM.

Again, not all who have faith in God are to be used this way but we see in scripture that many are used this way and why, based on Jesus' ministry, would we think He has stopped using His servants in government, as soldiers, as police, as emergency response workers etc?

Some Christians think Jesus would not hurt a fly... did they skip the scriptures where He forced those people out of the synagogues in a violent manner? Did they skip the scriptures where He's appeared to men He's using to wage war and give them instructions or sent an angel to give those instructions? Did they skip the scriptures where He slays all humans on earth who are sided with satan upon His Glorious return? Did they skip the scriptures that show us that the faith of a centurion was so great, that faith healed the servant?

All these scriptures show us that we can serve on paths that will take us to DO VIOLENCE for God.

Romans 13:4 For he is God's minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.

Ya see that part I underlined... I suggest you underline it in your Bible as well. How is a servant of God who is placed into a position that will require violence to do that violence IF they are blinded with pacifism?

A person is being raped before a Christian and they don't lift a finger to help? All they do is pray while a person is raped!!

Believe me, the Lord would never place them in such a position again since they were useless to Him in helping the victim as He placed them in a position to help another and also overcome their bondage of pacifism.

Show me where any soldier Jesus met, or any scripture involving soldiers we read about in the Bible where they are told to leave their job, that what they do as a soldier (this job does encompass the need to be violent) is wrong, etc!!

These soldiers... many are Christian, just as many today are and many more would be if the enemy wasn't able to bind Christians in pacifism. This bondage limits the Lord in filling the ranks of government, military forces, police forces etc with HIS faithful servants. This bondage enables satan to saturate all those positions with his servants and we complain that the government is corrupt, we read about soldiers abusing their position as they murder enemy instead of following their Rules of Engagement.

We read in the Bible, where John the Baptist answered the soldier's question: Luke 3:14 Likewise the soldiers asked him, saying, "And what shall we do?" So he said to them, "Do not intimidate anyone or accuse falsely, and be content with your wages." NKJV. To murder on the battlefield is accusing falsely... once an enemy is rendered a non-combatant and you kill them, that's not a justified kill, it's murder. A soldier, police, government official is in a position of AUTHORITY over others and they are not to intimidate those under them. Due to bondage of pacifism, most of those ranks are filled with people without God so we are unhappy with the corruption of those in those positions, especially government.

WHY?

It's because satan has successfully rendered Christians ineffective by binding them into thinking they can't be in that position where the Lord would call them a Minister of God.

Pacifism is a bondage that enables satan to hinder God from using servants who He wants on a path as Warriors.
